My name is Nathan Kuhlman, and I was born and raised in Minnesota. When I talk you can still hear my long “O’s” on a good day. I have have two incredibly smart and good-looking children (not that I’m partial) and two energetic Brittanys. If you were to find me on my day off you’d likely find me walking the dogs or at a local coffee shop reading a good book. I also like to play the piano, hit the gym, and cook new things. I am a proud Vikings fan and still hold out hope that one day they’ll actually win the Super bowl! One can dream, right?
My greatest passion is to see and be part of God’s transforming process in people as they are changed through the power of the Gospel of Christ. I am also passionate about missions and mentorship. There is nothing more humbling than helping others realize the mission field is something God has placed between our own two feet.
My role is that of pastor for an incredible church working hard to reach the next generation for Jesus Christ. Along the way, through these passionate followers of Christ, I am constantly challenged to be a better pastor, father, and friend.
My name is Vina Marcelina Troost, and I’m from Tombstone, Arizona. My husband Jon is from California and has served in the Army for over 15yrs. We have had the pleasure of living in Louisiana, Hawaii, South Carolina and now the scenic Missouri, which we love! Being a desert dweller my whole life in sunny Arizona really makes me appreciate living in areas near the ocean and places with all four seasons! We have been blessed with beautiful twin girls and a handsome son. They bring us such joy and chaos every wonderful day! We are a devout Catholic family that enjoys living liturgically. Party planning is my favorite hobby and I love celebrating the feast days with my family with exuberance. It’s so important to me to teach my children how much fun it can be to learn the traditions of our faith. I had a tragic early childhood but was rescued from foster care and into a permanent loving home when I was 10yrs old. I was taught my faith, the love and mercy of the Lord, and that His timing is always perfect. I want nothing more than for my life to show His light and grace. Very little can get me down, the Lord has made me resilient and I’m grateful for my daily blessings.
My greatest passion is to grow in deeper knowledge of my faith. My personal relationship with the Lord has developed so much in recent years through living my faith more fully. The gifts of knowing God, loving God and serving God are the pillars of my life. I spend a great deal of time in prayer and studying my faith, especially the lives of the saints as they are true earthly examples of following Christ. I love teaching catechism classes at my church and assisting with our youth group. Seeing children and teens have biblical knowledge, learn prayers, and light up at the revelation of Jesus’ unconditional love for them is such delight in my life.
My role as office administrator at Redeemer is to perform the clerical duties of the church. I’m happy to be a part of this great community of disciples and helping with behind the scenes responsibilities. I enjoy detailed oriented work and staying busy, so this position gives me the perfect outlet for my type A perfectionist personality. Everyone involved in the different ministries of this church are happy and eager to help others, it’s truly a Christ filled environment to work in.
