Redeemer began as a mission congregation in 1974, holding its first service at Peace Lutheran Church in Elk Prairie, Missouri, and then meeting regularly at the Rolla Lion’s Den facility. In 1975, the congregation of 53 parishioners chose the name of Redeemer and purchased the property on Hwy 72 East where the church building now stands.
All through Redeemer’s long and rich history, our story has been and continues to be rooted in God’s salvation story. As we join together around His Word in worship and service we strive to tell this biblical story because through it we realize we are part of a bigger story God is at work to create here in Rolla. New pages to this story are being written; we would love for you to be a part of God’s story at Redeemer.
