About Us

Welcome

Redeemer began as a mission plant in 1974, holding its first service at Peace Lutheran Church in Elk Prairie, Missouri, and then meeting regularly at the Rolla Lion’s Den facility. In 1975, the church of 53 members chose the name of Redeemer and purchased the property on Hwy 72, where they stand today.

All through Redeemer’s rich history, our story continues to be rooted in God’s salvation story. Gathering as a family around God’s Word in worship and service, we strive to tell this biblical story because through it we see our part in God's bigger story. New pages are still being written; we’d love for you to be a part of God’s family at Redeemer.

Our Values

Gather

We gather as a Christ-centered community of faith around worship, discipleship, missions, and family (Acts 2:42-47).

Worship

We worship the Triune God alone and seek constantly to grow in our spiritual lives and service to others.

Discipleship

As followers of Jesus, we are on a mission to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20) – to go, tell, and serve where God has placed us (Isaiah 6:8).

Together

We are a church of many souls, yet one Body in Christ, working and worshiping together with one mind, heart, and mission of the Lord’s work (John 17:20-23).

Our Leadership

Rev. Dr. Nathan Kuhlman

Pastor

Nathan was born and raised in Minnesota and when he talks you can still hear long “O’s” on a good day. He has two incredibly smart and good-looking kids (not that he’s partial) and two energetic Brittanys. If you were to find him on his day off, he’d be walking his dogs, working in the garden, or cooking up a new recipe. He also likes to play the piano and hit the gym (not at the same time). He is a proud Vikings fan who still holds out hope that one day they’ll actually win the Super bowl! One can dream, right?

Rachel Hogan

Office Administrator

Rachel is a born and raised, LCMS Lutheran. Her father was a pastor who currently serves as a professor at Concordia Seminary, Edmonton. Yes, in Canada. She is married to her best friend and has a pet rabbit that is quite the stinker. She has a degree in exercise science and a minor in nutrition. She is also a proud Homeschool graduate as is her husband. She is currently studying to be a certified personal trainer and a certified special population specialist.
